Harrisville
Harrisville marina and town were very nice. Didn't do much here though. We were planning a long run to Presque Isle, so we took it easy.
There was very little wind for the trip from Harrisville to Presque Isle and what wind there was came at us over the bow. Since we had a long day planned, we didn't mess with tacking in such light winds. It was a motor the whole way on smooth water. There were no clouds so it was sunny but much cooler and comfortable than on land.
The trip was a little shorter than planned. We took a short cut between some islands that we had planned to go around. The planning was done with Google maps but the chart showed it was deep enough to cut between the islands. It did get dicey as we could see the bottom of big rocks and sand. We are now in a pretty desolate part of MI. Most residences are seasonal. The coast has fewer houses, rather sand and tall pines. There are also many lighthouses along the coast and on islands.
